The vets mentioned on these pages are predominantly recommended by tortoise keepers. Tortsmad accepts no responsibilty for poor service from anyone on this page, but DOES welcome reports of this nature so that we can be aware of problems when recommending vets in certain areas in the future.
Be aware that a vet will not always give the correct diagnosis, so if you are at all doubtful, do not hesitate to ask for a second opinion. Many tortoises lives have been saved by doing just this.
This tortoise was about to be put to sleep by a vet who said she could not manage on three legs.

 I think I should send them this pic of her doing considerably better than some of my others! She has also produced some lovely babies.
